To maximize driver distance, you must balance ball speed, launch angle, and spin. A player with 150mph ball speed launching at 8 degrees with 4000 rpm of spin will carry the ball significantly shorter than a player with 150mph ball speed launching at 14 degrees with 2200 rpm of spin.
